Ana Popescu is a visual artist born in Tîrgu-Mures, Romania. She studied at the University of Applied Art in Vienna and went on to make the Austrian capital her home. In 2023 she completed a residency at Paradise Air in Matsudo, Japan. Popescu’s hand gestures and colour schemes have been compared to illustrious 20th century visual artists. A handsome compliment that adds to the works of undeniable charm and incredible workmanship she produces, combining simple forms, light, and shadow. Her collaborations with clients of the stature of Architectural Digest, Google, and Soho House speak of her talent. Ana Popescu’s purposeful design calls the viewer to cast an eye upon the gently drawn figures that compose her idyllic take on the lavish experience of “Glamping”. A Mediterranean tree, a vacationer under a beach umbrella, and a woman readying for a seascapade from her lounge chair. Who needs anything else to pack a bag and go, go, go?
